Opelousas Community Involvement

Morrow, Morrow, Ryan, Bassett & Haik has a history of commitment to the community of St. Landry Parish and the surrounding parishes since its doors opened in 1975.  Over the years, MMRB&H has sponsored dozens of athletic teams; sponsored a baseball field; donated fire alarms to the community; been a regular contributor to the Games of Acadiana and numerous other charitable organizations.  The attorneys and staff at MMRB&H are proud of the community they serve and have a history of giving back to it.

Morrow, Morrow, Ryan, Bassett & Haik announces the recipients for the 2017-2018 scholarship program.

MMRB&H is proud to announce the funding of (13) thirteen $2,500 scholarships for the 2017-2018 school year. CONGRATULATIONS to the following recipients that were awarded a scholarship:

The MMRB&H scholarships were awarded based on academic background, maturity of the applicant, financial need, community involvement, the availability of resources, funding and the applicants’ chosen career field. Recipients are permanent residents of St. Landry or Evangeline Parish. These ten scholarships were awarded as a one-time award of $2,500 for this coming school year. Scholarship funds are paid directly to the educational institution that the applicant will be attending. Recipients are attending an educational institution/college in the state of Louisiana and can apply during any portion of their educational career (i.e., undergraduate, graduate, professional school, etc.) MMRB&H encourages any applicant to apply again next year.

Morrow, Morrow, Ryan, Bassett & Haik launches scholarship program

Morrow, Morrow, Ryan, Bassett & Haik recently launched a scholarship program for students in St. Landry and Evangeline parishes. The program’s goals are to encourage applicants to pursue a degree and then seek employment within those two parishes.

“We have available jobs in St. Landry and Evangeline parishes that can be filled by individuals right here at home,” Pat Morrow said. “They just need an opportunity, and that is what we are trying to provide for them.” He added the firm intends to award scholarships annually.

The firm recognized its first six scholarship winners at a reception on August 12, 2014.   Each $2,500 scholarship is a one-time award for a single academic year.
