2017 Scholarships in Louisiana Recipients

MMRB&H is proud to announce the funding of (13) thirteen $2,500 scholarships for the 2017-2018 school year. Congratulations to the following recipients that were awarded a scholarship:

• Hunter Meyers, Morrow – Major: Mechanical Engineering, UL
• Emily Kelly, Opelousas – Major: Communication/Foreign Language, UL
• Calia Chavis, Opelousas – Major: Nursing, UL
• Macy Ceasar, Ville Platte – Major: Animal Science, Southern University
• Kalee Checker, Opelousas – Major: Informatics, UL
• Thomas Artall, Opelousas – Major: Mechanical Engineering, La Tech
• Chandler Durio, Opelousas – Major: Pre-Pharmacy, UL
• Conner Miller, Opelousas – Major: Kinesiology, LSUE
• Danielle Schexnayder, Port Barre – Major: Nursing, Northwestern University
• Kade Vidrine, Port Barre – Major: Nursing, LSUE
• Abby Fisher, Washington – Major: Nursing, LSUE

The MMRB&H scholarships were awarded based on academic background, maturity of the applicant, financial need, community involvement, the availability of resources, funding and the applicants’ chosen career fields. Recipients are permanent residents of St. Landry or Evangeline Parish. These 13 scholarships were awarded as a one-time award of $2,500 for this coming school year. Scholarship funds are paid directly to the educational institution that the applicant will be attending. Recipients are attending an educational institution/college in the state of Louisiana and can apply during any portion of their educational career (i.e., undergraduate, graduate, professional school, etc.). MMRB&H encourages any applicant to apply again next year.
