MMRBH Partner Sponsors Boys and Girls Clubs of Acadiana Opelousas Youth of the Year

Morrow, Morrow, Ryan, Bassett & Haik Partner, Richard “Richie” Haik, and his wife, Katie, generously sponsored Boys and Girls Clubs of Acadiana’s Opelousas Youth of the Year, Mycha Lastrapes.

Mycha, a 14-year-old honor roll student at Opelousas Junior High, has attended BGCA in Opelousas for eight years. She is currently serving as President of the BGC Keystone club, dance team captain and is a member of the OJH softball and volleyball teams. She is a natural leader and loves being a mentor to the younger club members.

This donation was presented to Mycha to recognize her excellence in leadership at the BGCA Opelousas Chapter and to thank her for her dedication to the Opelousas community.

“The Boys and Girls Club is doing amazing work strengthening our community by providing vital services for the children of Opelousas,” Richie commented. “My wife, Katie, and I were proud to be a part of this mission by recognizing Mycha Lastrapes, this year’s Opelousas Youth of the Year. The impact of this Club cannot be overstated, and I encourage everyone to come see for themselves, get involved, and help the Boys and Girls Club as they work with these young people to reach their full potential.”
